Cork

Cork gets mixed reviews, some like it others think it is the pits and full of drunks. Something else to bear in mind is that shops shut on a Sunday.

If you are going to Cork then trains run from Cobh on the half hour, the 24 min journey is €9.90pp return. The Railway Station is next to where you the berth. The return trains run on the hour every hour. Train station is short walk from port. Trains are small – only two carriages so will be busy. For your return trip the trains are on the hour with the last one leaving at 4pm. (prices are 2017)

Taxis are about €30-€35 each way. There is also a coach company that offer full day tours if you pre-book for €22pp (2014).

There is a HOHO bus in Cork at a cost of €15pp and €13pp for seniors. (2017)
